Beth & Paul - Engaged!!

Click here to return to our website: www.furbishaustin.com

We are so lucky to have our newest clients on board in the {Furbish} family...Beth and Paul. You have seriously never met a couple 'cute as pie', as their friends say. I took that quote directly from the amazing photographer Laurie Ruth, who captured this couple so beautifully. Just look at these engaement photos below!  The location is an abandoned Peanut Farm in Giddings, TX.

They have a Spring wedding planned, with the cutest vintage theme. Paul is into vintage hotrods, restoring old arcade games, and they are both like repurposing old things to make them unique. I cannot wait to share Beth's upcoming bridal shoot photos, and their vintage themed wedding in April !

The engagement :  Paul had quite an engagement planned and his plan was foiled not once, but three times, while trying to propose to Beth while on Holiday vacation.
He asked for her hand from Beth's grandmother, and when she approved, she helped him plan a romantic engagement on New Years Eve at an amazing frozen waterfall in Montreal. When they were not able to get to it, Paul switched gears and decided to have his proposal on the marquee at a local AHL Hockey Rink during the fireworks show. Beth and Paul love going to hockey and their first date was at a fireworks show, so he still had a sentimental plan for this sweet moment!

Unfortunately the arena would not allow him on the big screen to propose! So after being foiled a second time, he decided to use the fireworks show to create a firework moment of his own.
Beth was so busy taking pictures during the show, she didn't even notice him trying to ask. After all was said and done and people were starting to leave the stands,  Paul had his moment. After finally getting her attention, she looked down to find a hockey puck that said "Will you marry me?" and he was on one knee! It wasn't how he'd planned it, but he got a "yes" and created quite a memorable moment.
We are so excited to be a part of planning this couple's AMAZING day!

Congratulations Beth & Paul!

New Finds for 2013

Click here to get back to our website: www.furbishaustin.com

We have been adding some amazing pieces to our collection for 2013! And it does not stop there...look for us to keep adding all year long. This is my favorite part, ya know!?

We have 2 new Sofas, the Taylor and the Harlow.

The Luna table, and Taylor Settee
The Taylor is covered in a scrumptious charcoal gray velvet, and has tufting on both back and the seat. This one is a real looker in person!

The Harlow is a vintage carved wood frame with a  sweet white linen upholstery. This seat is packed with down, so you may not want to get up!

We also added some new chairs! Welcome the Addison Chair duo, the Angela's, and the Henly Armchair.
The Addison duo is a rustic white painted finish with a contemporary white on white patterned fabric seat. This duo has an armed sister coming soon!

Addison Duo chairs
The Angela's have been with me for more years than I can remember. It seems like I have always had them...and they are named after my dear friend Angela that has begged for them as long as I have know her :-)  The have a very tall ladder back in a vintage green paint, with gold finials on top. These are fun and unique garden chairs, and look great in a lounge area, or by themselves.

The Henley is our newest armchair...a beautiful carved wood frame with light gray linen front and rustic burlap backside.
We also have FOUR new wine barrels to add to the collection, and The Luna 2-tier Pie plate style side table painted in a brushed silver.
Last but not least, we have also added two more white tables...
a low side table, The Wynona, and a high side table, Jewel.

We have sure had fun with these new Finds...scoop them up for your next event!

What a GREAT turnout for the 2013 Bridal Extravaganza from Austin Wedding Guide!  We met so many brides planning to create a vintage or rustic inspired wedding, and we hope to get to work with them to create the wedding of their dreams!
Thanks to our team!   Michelle Hajra, Lisa Carmosino, and Kristin Mclean, and Daniel Martin helped make our booth amazing.

Here are some pictures to share as inspiration of how you can add furniture and accessories to your event to create a vintage vibe for your guests.

We had a blast making the fun paper flowers. We can customize these in any size, color, or design for your event!
Please call me to set up a tour of our warehouse, and consultation to create a perfect event!
My best,
Leslie
